Finsweng Vilijokkus 7 months old

New year, but one thing stays the same; Finsweng aussies come for regular groomings and those moments are great! Today a dear boy called Veksi, or officially Finsweng Vilijokkus (click on the link to see his pedigree and other info) who is now 7 months of age.

This 4 month of pup below is Finsweng Vadelmiina aka Vattu, my little girl coowned with my friend Mari.She is more of a wet rat her in the photo, and on top of this not trimmed, BUT you see her happy attitude!

Success at the Specialty of Finnish Aussie Club

At this years Specialty of Finnish Aussie Club the Finsweng team was small and young (ages between 10 and 17 months), but very successful. 86 aussies were enterred, and out of these 41 were bitches, 36 males and 9 pups. All results from this Specialty can be read by clicking here

Naatti got a nice critique and I got a good lesson in how to show my pretty girl. Apparently the judge Graham Nolan (Australia) really loved my Naatti, since even if I spoiled parts of her show (I forced her to a too high speed) she ended as 3rd best bitch among the 41 bitches! I'm stunned and so extremely happy of this selfbred rising star who also is the best pet you can imagine. Here is what judge Graham Nolan said about Naatti:
"Very nice bitch. Good head - balanced. Covers the ground.
When moving needs to go slower, reason: jonting."

Puppies! Pentuja!

This Eastern time have been filled with puppy news. Valma (CIB* Finsweng Silirimpsis) has four healty pups and her mother, Melukylän Valo-Isa, is due in middle of May. For more information, please see our Puppy news page. Two boys looking for their forever homes.

Valma enjoys motherhood. Valma nauttii äitiydestä.

Pääsiäisen aika on ollut meillä pennuntuoksuista! Tytti (Melukylän Valo-Isa) kävi kiirastorstaina ultrassa ja nyt hän on todistetusti pieniin päin. Tyttärensä Valma (CIB* Finsweng Silirimpsis) taas synnytti pitkäperjantaina ja nyt maitobaarilla ruokailee ja tuhisee neljä tyytyväistä ja hyvin kasvavaa pentua. Countryside joys!

In the Finnish countryside you can do a lot of fun! Here Maisa (Ch Kisamba's Dream Surfer) and her one-year-old daughter Naatti (Finsweng Tadaa ) are jumping in the forest near our house. All photos are taken by daughter Ida Turunen.

We are expecting two litters to be born during spring 2017; the first in week 15 and the second in week 20. Hint of spring in the air!

In February and beginning of March the winter here in Finnish Lakeland is as its best, and during the many sunny days there is also promise of spring in the air. And believe or not, but the February's sun in warming so much that you can walk without jacket on the ice! This is a photo from a typical "daily escape" from my work and everyday stuff. Since we have plenty of space here in Finnish Lakeland the dogs can run free and you don't need to be afraid to meet anybody. Perfect for balancing my work! Every now and then I need to plan my routes better and keep the dogs' leeds on hand, since we rent lakeside cottages and our guests also enjoy the walks and skiing on the frozen lake. Btw, did you know that February is the month with most light here in Finland? It's because of the snow's mirroring effect plus it's often high pressure and sun in February.

Typical weather in February. A pure joy walking with my dear aussies.
